Suspect Fails at Robbery of Elderly Male at Bank ATM

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for an aggravated robbery (elderly). 

On Friday, January 29, 2021 at around 10:00 pm, the complainant (69-year-old male) was at a bank ATM at the 11000 block of South Sam Houston Parkway, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that while he was withdrawing money, an unknown male walked up behind him and stood uncomfortably close to him. The complainant stated that he turned around and asked the male what he was doing, at which time the male replied that he was there to take his money (while holding what appears to be a knife in his hand). The complainant then pushed the suspect back and attempted to punch him, but fell to the ground. The suspect then ran back to his vehicle, a 2017 to 2019 Ford Escape, and fled the scene. Suspect description: White male, mid 20’s, 6’0, 300 to 350 pounds, ‘Beatles’ t-shirt, gray sweatpants and blue pullover with hoodie.
