Male Tries to Trade Voltmeter for Sex Toy prior to Robbery

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a shoplifting turned robbery by force. 

On Thursday, April 1, 2021 at around 12:00 am, an unknown male entered a sexually oriented business, located at the 5900 block of Richmond, in Houston, Texas. The male picked up an expensive sex toy, walked to the counter, and told the employee that he wanted to trade a voltmeter for the toy since he did not have any money. The employee refused to trade the item, at which time the suspect took the item and attempted to walk out of the store without paying for it. A second employee witnessed the incident and attempted to stop the suspect, who then pushed the employee against the wall. The suspect got into a white Ford SUV and fled the scene. Suspect: White or Hispanic male, blue jacket and tan pants.

Vehicle used: White Ford SUV
