Suspect Arrested after Threatening Convenience Store Customer

 

SEPTEMBER 10, 2024

ARRESTED: Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for an aggravated robbery that occurred on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at around 5:20 pm of an individual at a convenience store at the 1200 block of Redford, in Houston, Texas.

The suspect, Yolanda Hernandez, 41, is charged with aggravated robbery in the 232nd State District Court. Yolanda Hernandez’s booking photo is attached to this release.

According to the complainant, he walked into a convenience store to make a purchase and was approached by an unknown female, who asked him for some money. The complainant declined to give the female any money and then walked out of the store. The female followed the complainant outside of the store, pulled out a boxcutter, and threatened to harm him if he did not give her money. The suspect followed the complainant to a nearby apartment complex and caused a disturbance, where police were then notified.  

A Houston Police officer working an extra job at the apartment complex responded to the scene. The suspect, then identified as Yolanda Hernandez, 41, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated robbery.
